The Franklin River is one of the last truly wild rivers on Earth; a complex system of breathtaking scenery, powerful energy and moments of utter tranquillity, threading its way through Tasmania’s unique World Heritage Area. There are few environments in the world as ancient, untouched or majestic as the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park.

All challenges were undertaken with the utmost skill and attention to safety. Their love and care for this wild river was evident throughout and extended our appreciation of the awe and beauty of this unique part of the world. Perfect experience with Franklin River Rafting
It's been just a week since this most perfect experience with Franklin River Rafting. At the start, I was the +1 for my partner's 40 year dream to raft the Franklin. Damned sure I'm glad I accepted!
Every single moment across the 8 days was the most extraordinary time - the Franklin presented its finest - fun times on the river, challenging portages, places of beautiful reflection and camp spots you couldn't even dream up.
Franklin River Rafting really are top of the game. Franzi and Amy were the most passionate, knowledgable, encouraging and able guides you could wish for. Everything so carefully considered and planned right down to surprise memorable moments (no spoilers here!). Yep there are times where you think 'is this possible' and every time success (with safety number one). Thanks for all your shared with us, your care and love for what you do.

A life changing experience.
Rafting the Franklin with 'Franklin River Rafting' was truly an incredible experience. The river and the environment are one of the true wonders of the world—a gem in the crown of Australia's natural landscape. The guides are incredibly caring, open, knowledgeable and just great company. If you're thinking of going, I have two pieces of advice. 1) Do it, and don't delay. 2) Go with this company. They are wonderful.

Sooo worth the wait
When you hold onto a dream for 40 years, and the reality eclipses your expectations, you know it's been a dream worth waiting for. It's hard to describe the awe inspiring beauty of the Franklin; there's a magic that just has to be experienced, and I can't think of a crew I'd rather do it with. Franklin River Rafting simply rocked every single aspect of our adventure. Franzi and Amy were the most perfect guides - their love of the river was infectious, their guidance, knowledge, cooking, conversation and care was first class.
Rafting the Franklin isn't life changing, it's life affirming - just don't wait 40 years to do it!

Wonderful guides on an incredible adventure.
I can't speak highly enough of how well run this trip was. The guides were highly competent, calm and took excellent care of us. The food was exceptional. Even though there was a lot of inherent risk in the trip, I felt safe the whole time. The river is incredibly beautiful, I loved living on and in it for the eight days.

What a place, what a team, what an adventure, truly an experience of a lifetime! I am so grateful to these legends showing me the untouched beauty of the Franklin River while teaching me of the flora and history, feeding me like royalty and providing as much comfort as a remote wilderness adventure could possibly pack in.
